Jim Truitt Memorial

Brothers,

It is my heartbreakingly sad duty to report the death of my own beloved father and Past Master of Tyler Lodge James T. Truitt, Sr.  Dad passed early morning on Wednesday January 30 from respiratory and heart failure.  He fought for every last breath as he loved life dearly.  Nevertheless he spoke of joining his lord while bidding his family goodbye.  I will miss him greatly as I know many of you will too.  The Lodge was his home outside of home for many years now, the location of many family events as well as Masonic events.  Consequently we are conducting his memorial at the lodge.  Here are the services information.  The Memorial Service will include a Masonic Service and the Committal Service will be a military salute.  You are invited to attend any or all of it:

Viewing:  Tues, Feb 5, 9-11am at Edwards Funeral Home, 3005 Bridgeport in UP
Memorial Service and reception:  Tues, Feb 5, 12 noon at Tyler Lodge, 2530 Grandview Drive W
Committal Service:  Wed, Feb 6, 1 pm at Tahoma National Cemetary, 18600 Southeast 240th Street in Kent, WA  (please have your vehicle in line by 1 pm for the procession to the committal service site)

His obituary will be published in the Tacoma News Tribune on Sunday.  His complete obituary and a place for recording your memories of dad is online at http://www.edwardsmemorial.com.  Below is the complete obituary.   Please feel free to pass this on to other brothers outside of our lodge who may know him.  Thank you.

Yours in the Faith,

Bud Truitt
Secretary
Horace W. Tyler Lodge #290
