Alf Norlund

It is my sad duty to report to you the passing of one of our Tyler brothers, Alf Norlund.  Alf was initiated, passed, and raised in 1965.  Some of us will be getting together to attend his funeral next Tuesday — please feel free to join the group of brothers.  The Scottish Rite will be performing their memorial service.  His obituary from the Tacoma News Tribune follows:

Alf Edmond Norlund Alf E. Norlund, 90, of Tacoma, died November 15, 2012. Born in Viking, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on July 19, 1922, Alf was a graduate of the University of Washington Engineering Program. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the signal corps in the Philippines. Alf retired from J.D. English Steel Company, and was a member of many Masonic groups including Scottish Rite. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, children Dave (Chris) Norlund, Janet (Alf) Howald, Bruce (Marcia) Wright, Cindy (Dennis) Fulton, Larry (Kathy) Wright, and Jeri (Tom) Guske, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mountain View Garden Chapel. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
